ADI showcased the ADI OtoSense™ smart motor sensor solution at the Munich Shanghai Electronics Fair, a high-performance AI-based "predictive maintenance" platform designed for motors. Only 4 replaceable 1.5V AA lithium batteries are needed for power supply, and ADI high-performance sensors are integrated inside to capture various parameters of the motor, which can detect abnormal conditions of the motor at an early stage, and send them to the back-end cloud for processing through Wi-Fi. It enables customers to realize 7x24-hour motor condition monitoring on the mobile phone application or the PC-side network dashboard.
ADI has some new ideas and solutions on the industrial digital interface, the first one is IO-Link. ADI showcases industry-leading IO-Link master and slave solutions, including the MAX14819 series of dual-channel IO-Link master transceivers, the MAX14828 series of low-power IO-Link transceivers, surge-protected IO-Link device transceivers The MAX22513 series, etc., can provide a solid foundation for smart sensors to meet the needs of centralized control and optimized production in industrial automation processes.

There is also 10BASE-T1L, which is adapted from IEEE 802.3 developed based on industrial Ethernet. In order to connect sensors, valves, actuators and controls with the smart factory enterprise database, ADI demonstrated 10BASE-T1L with the standard IEEE 802.3cg?-2019 on site. T1L transmits power and data through twisted-pair wires. A single twisted-pair wire is well shielded, and it is easier to obtain materials. It will not be easily disturbed like ordinary network cables; and 10BASE-T1L bandwidth is particularly high. Compared with other connection technologies, from the perspective of single-pair cables, 10BASE-T1L has simpler than traditional Ethernet lines, 10Mbps communication speed, better than HART and fieldbus, and provides up to 1km for process automation. Features such as long-distance and support for threaded connections.
